OFT clears Orange and T-Mobile merger

ORANGE and T-Mobile's merger, has been cleared by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), in a move that could mean more choice for consumers not less. 

The merger should be able to deliver an expanded and efficient 3G service to UK customers. 3G, which has become an important aspect of mobile internet is struggling under the pressure of users, Orange and T-Mobile will hopefully alleviate some of this pressure.

Smart-phones and fast data have become inextricably linked, meaning   that data-rich services, media streaming and GPS dependant apps need a robust 3G network. Better 3G service means that more people will be on the web, talking, doing business and interacting.
