Acxiom partners with Air2Web to enable integrated mobile marketing

AIR2WEB and Acxiom have announced a partnership to develop and deliver mobile messaging solutions that enable B2C companies to manage customer lifecycles in the mobile channel.

According to Air2Web and Acxiom, mobile consumers report that in this permission-driven channel they read 80 per cent of the text messages they receive, and more than half of mobile data subscribers who see an ad respond to it by sending a text message, clicking on it, or calling a specific number.

Such high response rates, combined with a low cost of delivery, represents an effective channel for marketers and customer care professionals.

Acxiom's Impact-X Mobile offers B2C companies an integrated set of mobile messaging capabilities, enabled by Air2Web, to help maximise marketing capabilities in the mobile channel for better customer life cycle management (CLM).

"Mobile has a commercial value proposition, with high potential to lower costs and increase revenue through improved customer experiences," said Tim Suther, Acxiom's Senior VP of Global Multichannel Marketing Services.

"Acxiom can now offer its B2C clients a phased approach to the integration of mobile marketing , weaving it with customer service and product delivery to include services such as ready-for-pickup alerts, timely promotions, notices for payments required or made, loyalty points balance information, and other offerings," said Air2Web's Channel Director, Bentley Hines.

"Today's marketers must know how to fold their mobile marketing strategy and operations into the core of their business. They have no choice because the consumer is already there."
