M&C Saatchi buys Inside Mobile

CONVENTIONAL marketing firms are taking notice of the potential of the mobile web, it appears. Online Media Daily reported that ad agency M&C Saatchi is buying mobile-ad firm Inside Mobile for an undisclosed sum.

Moray MacLennan, CEO of the larger company, predicted that mobile ad sales market would see "dramatic" growth over the next five years. Mobile marketing, he added, would "be central to many of our clients’ communication plans."

Recent mobile-marketing deals show that marketing firms are aware of mobile ads’ big potential.
