Volt Delta opens new London based hosting site

VOLT DELTA International, the subsidiary of US based Volt Information Sciences, has opened a new London based hosting site to support its growing portfolio of hosted services.

Volt - a key player in the information services foodchain – supply services to many in the Directory Assistance sector, including data and contact centre technology.

This new site complements and adds to Volt Delta’s global footprint of hosted service facilities allowing services to be offered to clients on a worldwide basis.

The new facilities are provided at Powergate, TelecityGroup’s latest London data centre which offers 5,000 square-metres of customer space and high power availability. The data centre has been designed to industry standards with full security and N+1 redundancy. Importantly for Volt Delta’s services and client needs, Powergate offers telecommunications connectivity to the majority of major telecoms operators and the site benefits from the presence of LINX, the London Internet Exchange, offering global peering and further connectivity options.

Volt Delta will use the site to expand its range of OASIS on-call hosted services including a fully hosted contact centre and a wide range of hosted speech self-service options.

Volt Delta’s hosted services based at Powergate will be brought into live service during September 2009.

Noel Hughes, managing director Volt Delta International said, “We looked for a new data centre that offered us a very wide range of telecoms connectivity and also the latest in terms of best practice for us to offer our clients the highest availability and security for the services that we provide. TelecityGroup’s Powergate facility provides a further building block in Volt Delta’s global provision of high-value hosted services.”
