Episodic is a platform for broadcasting live and on-demand video to the web or any web-enabled device, allowing publishers and marketers to host, stream, measure and monetise video content. Noam Lovinsky and Matias Cudich Co-Founders of Episodic commented: “The Episodic team will join Google and continue its work to bring a great video experience to the Web, mobile phones and IPTV devices.” The acquisition by Google illustrates that they are investing heavily in this medium; this is the fifth mobile marketing company purchased in 2010.
