Google launches app marketplaceGOOGLE has launched what it calls its Apps Marketplace, allowing third parties to write apps and market them through one portal. These apps will all be compatible with Google Apps, as opposed to a specific mobile operating system. Google will charge a $100 flat fee to launch an app, no matter how many apps you launch. Google is undercutting other app stores by only charging 20% of revenue, most app stores charge 30% revenue share, especially Apple’s iPhone app store. Google are expecting 25 million active users of Google Apps. They expect that once companies of 20,000+ employees switch to Google Apps, they don’t switch back. Leave your comments: |
