Mobile front of mind for Google

MATT Brittin Google's UK Managing Director, has predicting a period of rapid growth in the next three years and emphasised the company's focus on mobile advertising and services.

Speaking at the IAB mobile event in London, Brittin said that Google’s engineers are instructed that mobile comes first when considering new product development – as the company expectation is that more users will access online content via mobile devices than desktops by 2013.

Brittin laided the importance mobile, evangelising at what he described as revolutionary change, with mobile technology set to change the world.

Both Google and Apple have moved into the mobile services and mobile marketing space with recent acquisitions of two of the biggest mobile advertising networks, AdMob and Quattro Wireless.
