Apple set to acquire mobile marketing business, Quattro Wireless?

APPLE looks set to acquire mobile marketing experts Quattro Wireless if current internet chatter is anything to go by.

Rumours have been rise for some time that this sort of acquisition was on Apple’s agenda following Google’s 2009 acquisition of AdMob for $750 million.

If reports prove to be true, Apple will announce this week that they have acquired Quattro Wireless for an estimated $275 million. The move would see Apple up the ante in the battle for dominance around mobile advertising with Google and Microsoft.

However, Apple is making progress as the business is set to launch its new tablet device and a 4th generation iPhone is also on the way.

Quattro Wireless boasts clients including Ford, Disney, and the NFL.
