Vodafone backs a marketing future

VODAFONE has done a u-turn - the company who had previously considered axing its mobile advertising sector has now vowed to continue operating the service.

A company spokesperson commented that Vodafone will now maintain the service and look to enhance it.

The current service offers mobile advertising features such as promotional messages from brands relevant to their profile and their real-time location, full screen advertisements, apps, widgets and location-based advertising.

But the company will have competition from big names like Apple, who are launching i-Ad soon.
