Google Search grows eyes and earsGOOGLE Search is getting eyes and ears, according to a company announcement this week. This will see the search engine go beyond typed key words to allow users to search the Internet with mobile telephone cameras or spoken words in multiple languages. Earlier this week, Google unveiled ‘Goggles’ software that will let people search online using photos taken on mobile phone cameras. The system will be based on their operating system, Android. An experimental version of the software is being made available at the Google Labs website – the software already recognises a variety of items including books, CD covers and landmarks.
