Yahoo adds Twitter to search results

YAHOO has announced that it will be integrating content from Twitter, Facebook and other news sources into search results.

The news follows a similar announcement from Google earlier in the week. Yahoo plans to integrating recent tweets into Web search results for hot topics.

Twitter results won’t be automatically included for every search query, it will just make an appearance the hottest topics and most popular searches.

Yahoo will use its search algorithm to find subject appropriate tweets to include on the results page.

Very interesting. Makes it potentially easier for SMEs to dominate the first page of a search engine with references to the ir business and edge out the competition on specified key words.
