Online search brings the end of Canadian White Pages deliveryDELIVERY of White Pages - the Canadian residential phone listings directory for more than 130 years, has been halted in larger urban centres, due to "changing user habits". The White pages phone book was first delivered to the Canadian west coast in 1879, but has now largely been by online services such as Canada411. Residents of the major conurbations such as Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Ottawa and Quebec City will now have to specifically request White Pages to have one delivered. Marc P. Tellier, president and CEO of Yellow Pages Group, said: "An increasing number of Canadians, particularly in urban areas, use our online and mobile resources YellowPages.ca and Canada411.ca to find residential phone numbers."
