ChaCha answers 150 Million questions in 18 monthsACCORDING to new research by the Nielson Company, ChaCha, the US based mobile answers service has answered 150 million questions in 18 months – ranking it amongst the top 10 short message services with the most traffic -- including Facebook, Twitter and American Idol. ChaCha is currently growing faster than any other SMS answers service, including Google SMS and Yahoo! SMS. "I'm captivated by ChaCha's growth story. It is remarkable how quickly they've become one of the leaders in SMS search," said Nic Covey, Director of Insights for The Nielsen Company. "ChaCha's unique style of conversational search is resonating well with mobile subscribers." ChaCha's audience extends to the web, too. According to Quantcast ChaCha.com ranks among the top web sites in the United States with more than 2.3 million monthly unique users. With more than 14 million searchable questions and answers and thousands of new answers published to the site every day in categories such as sports, entertainment, health, beauty and travel, ChaCha has increased its traffic 1,000 per cent since its launch in January 2008. "Hitting the 150 million answer mark changes the search dynamic," said ChaCha CEO Scott A. Jones.
