Optus partners with Telmap to offer mobile searchTELMAP, the mobile location services business, today announced that it has partnered with Optus to power personal search, mapping and navigation. Telmap’s services will be available to Optus subscribers on the BlackBerry Curve™ 8900 smartphone. Business users, prosumers and consumers buying the BlackBerry Curve™ 8900 from Optus will get Telmap Navigator pre-loaded on the device included with a 12 month licence for search, mapping and navigation as part of the package. “This partnership is the beginning of Telmap’s expansion into the Asia Pacific market and is part of our global strategy to lead mobile search, mapping and navigation across the globe” said Oren Nissim, CEO of Telmap. “We are happy to partner with Optus in offering their subscribers a complete on-the-go experience and look forward to expanding this partnership and make navigation available on more mobile devices and platforms”.
