Volt Delta implements new OASIS platform at Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and TobagoVOLT Delta International has today announced the implementation of its OASIS platform at Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT). The new OASIS system has allowed TSTT to replace its operator services platform and ensure that services continue to be delivered efficiently and with the new technology.
The OASIS platform is now supporting a wide range of toll and operator assisted services which TSTT delivers from its call centre based in Port of Spain. The range of services includes: person-to-person and station-to-station connection; advice of call charge & duration; collect calls; alarm calls; and international call assistance.
Deploying the OASIS platform has enabled TSTT to improve its operator services operation and reduce overall operational costs by the adoption of a next-generation all IP-based solution, together with SIP interconnects to the core telephony network and VoIP call delivery.
TSTT’s OASIS solution includes a wide range of functionality including call routing, call profiling, call recording, billing CDR record generation as well as a comprehensive OASIS management information reporting system. In addition, OASIS also provides full supervisory functions, allowing supervisors to observe and monitor call centre staff in real time in order to improve service quality and agent performance.
Call centre operators are also helped in providing this diverse set of services by OASIS IP-Station which has a specially designed and optimised user interface to allow the efficient provision of these services.
The system is now fully operational following the contract award in September 2008.
Noel Hughes, managing director, Volt Delta International said: “I am very pleased that TSTT selected Volt Delta and our innovative OASIS switching and contact centre system and that the TSTT implementation has been so successful for, what is, a complex mix of services and technology. We have had a very close relationship during the project implementation and we look forward to continuing this with the TSTT team as they use the platform over the coming years both to deliver the existing set of services, and as they seek to develop new services.”
George Hill, Chief Technology Officer of TSTT said: “We have been very pleased in our choice of Volt Delta as our new operator services platform provider. We were particularly pleased that the OASIS platform included the majority of services and functionality that we needed in the standard package. This has allowed us to replace our legacy platform with a very modern SIP based platform and to very tight timescales. We have been very well supported by Volt Delta and look forward to continuing to work closely with them in the future.”
