Zoodango launches GeoPage.com with Citysearch Partnership

ZOODANGO has announced the official US launch of its online local search website, GeoPage, that will feature its proprietary local "geo-search" technology.

Partnering with Citysearch, GeoPage will give people up-to-date and useful local information in a rich user interface. Many sites only allow local search to be conducted within a single category, like restaurants, which makes it difficult to simultaneously find a restaurant, theatre, and bar that are all within a single walking distance of each other.

"Our geo-search technology will give people a truly rich and efficient way to find local venues and plan their whole day or night, especially if they are looking for multiple venues to hang out at," said James Sun, CEO of GeoPage.

GeoPage offers a new aggregate rating system for restaurants and other businesses, called GeoPage Rating, that takes many of the national ratings like Citysearch, Zagat, and other venue-related sites including recommendations from GeoPage users.

"We are offering a smart algorithm to give people a better rating system that takes into account multiple sources of useful information and not just a single star rating," said Sun.

In addition, GeoPage is launching a new feature called GeoBlog which allows users to share ideas on "things to do" and "where to go" in a rich format beyond just writing a single review about a single place. “Geobloggers” write creatively about past experiences and future plans and tag places associated with their blog entries so their friends, colleagues, and other travelers can benefit from the information.
