Mobile Directory to add Mobile Marketing features

LOO-LEE, the US-based mobile phone directory, has announced that it is adding new mobile marketing features to their directory options.

The move comes as a logical development along the road to convergence between traditional legacy information services and the more innovative mobile and marketing oriented propositions. Consumers will be able to opt in to receive advertising from various vendors and businesses will be able to target specific audiences with marketing ideas.

Registered users who have uploaded their information to Loo-Lee’s directory can choose privacy options which allow their contact numbers to be seen by selected members only or by any registered user. The group feature allows users to create groups of contacts as well as to invite others to join through the group.

Unlike some other online cell phone directories, Loo-Lee allows users to opt in to receive mobile marketing advertisements rather than making cell phone numbers publicly available. Consumer privacy takes the highest priority and contact information will never be released to a third party without the user’s consent by means of the opt-in program. Businesses will be able to send text messages to consumers who have opted in to the mobile marketing features and will also be able to take advantage of multimedia cell phone marketing options.
