Facebook launches Creative Council and Studio EdgeFACEBOOK Today made two announcements geared toward the agency community. The first is the formation of a Creative Council, which will hold its inaugural meeting in Cannes. The Creative Council will serve as the creative counterpart to the Client Council (announced last year at Cannes), and its aim is to serve as a sounding board for both Facebook product ideas and key agency needs. Council members include creative executives from agencies big and small, and those with social and multiplatform specialisms. The social media giant’s second announcement is the rollout of Facebook Studio Edge, a new learning and recognition program on the Facebook Studio site that keeps agencies up to speed on Facebook's latest products and best practices. Facebook Studio lets people can take 10-15 minute interactive courses on topics covering Pages, apps, and ads. In conjunction with the launch of Studio Edge, more features are being added to the Facebook Studio site, including a directory that highlights personal as well as overall agency listings and that showcases both Facebook creative work and achievements earned via Studio Edge. Studio Edge will soft launch to a subset of Facebook’s agency pilot partners in the coming weeks, and Facebook will be giving more agencies access on a rolling basis. Leave your comments: |
