Former MMA head Wehrs named as interim CEO of Scanbuy

FORMER head of the Mobile Marketing Association, Mike Wehrs has been named as interim CEO and president of marketing solutions provider Scanbuy.

Wehrs is set to replace outgoing CEO Jonathan Bulkeley, who resigned four years, citing other interests he wished to pursue. Prior to joining the MMA early in 2009, Wehrs was VP of industry affairs at speech and imaging solutions provider Nuance Communications.

Scanbuy's ScanLife application allows users to scan two-dimensional barcodes with a standard camera phone to automatically display a mobile website and launch video clips.
